Recurrent Candida

As your hormones change in your early 40s, you might have found yourself more prone to to recurrent Candida infections (also called thrush, or yeast infections).

This is because Candida has a relationship with estrogen.

Bacterial vaginosis

Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is common in perimenopause and causes odour and discharge.

AV (aerobic vaginosis) is also common, though it's not as well recognised. AV can be why your vagina feels like it's on fire when the tests show that you don't have BV.

Women in perimenopause can experience burning pain in their vaginas when their vaginal microbiome is out of balance because of hormonal changes.

Learn how to support your vaginal microbiome changes.

Join me on this empowering journey to prioritise your vaginal health today.

Recurrent urinary tract infections UTI

Perimenopause is also a time when you can be more prone to urinary tract infections, once again because your vaginal microbiome is disrupted by hormonal changes.

Some women have infections for years, often triggered by sex. Are you avoiding being intimate with your partner because you fear the pain of a UTI?

It's also common for women in perimenopause to get stuck in a loop of UTI's, antibiotics and Candida infections.

Learn how to heal and support your urinary tract.

Taking a Break

Dry vagina

Dry vagina become more prevalent in the later stages of perimenopause and post menopause.

Estrogen is the most common reason for dryness, however other lifestyle, diet and mediations can play a role.

Vagina and vulval tissue changes

Perimenopause is also a time when you might notice changes to the tissue in your vagina, on your labia, or your vulva.

Eczema, lichen sclerosus are changes that require a referral to a specialist. See your doctor if you have worrying tissue changes.

The benefits of this program

When you work with me, we will discuss

how your vaginal symptoms are linked to your hormones

perimenopause brings unique vaginal challenges

and deserves a unique style of treatment

Have you tried following advice from an online group? Tried a treatment recommended by a friend?

The reason these treatments aren't working for you can be due to the hormone changes of perimenopause.

Other factors that affect your treatment:

  • genetics

  • lifestyle

  • daily eating habits

  • exercise style

  • sexual practices

  • weight (fat cells produce estrogen!)

  • metabolism (energy metabolism, and estrogen metabolism)

  • health history (previous surgeries, allergies, hormone or IVF treatments)

  • contraceptive choices (affect hormones)

  • stress levels (work, family, money, past trauma)

  • gut bacteria (did you know gut bacteria helps to metabolise estrogen!)

  • other health conditions (thyroid, diabetes, endometriosis, fatty liver disease)

During your private consultation, we will discuss the above factors, so that you can understand the most important changes to make for you to feel better quickly.

Futhermore:

You will learn about the pattern that perimenopause takes and what to expect over the coming months and years.

What other women are saying about the program:

Hazel R. USA

"Simones videos were really clear and informative! I had already read a lot about perimenopause, but this cleared up so much for me and I gained so much new knowledge. I watched them all twice which really helped for my consultation with Simone, as she didn't need to waste time explaining stuff. We were able to get to the nitty gritty of the things going on with me extremely efficiently which made the whole package great value for money.
